Tap-to-review technology

NFC review cards, with a system behind them

NFC is the same technology behind contactless payment. Tappi Tech puts a chip in a card, sticker, stand or tag, encoded to your review page. A guest taps, the page opens, and they are two taps from a posted review.

How NFC tap-to-review works

Each piece of Tappi Tech contains a passive chip. It needs no battery and never expires. When a phone comes within a couple of centimetres, the phone reads the encoded link and offers to open it.

iPhone XR and later read tags automatically with the screen on. Older iPhones and most Android phones read them from the control centre, and every Tappi item also carries a printed QR code so nobody is locked out.

Encoded to you, not to a generic link

Generic NFC cards from a marketplace point wherever the seller programmed them. Tappi hardware is encoded to your business, from inside your dashboard, after your account exists. Tap one of your cards and it opens your review page — never someone else's.

If you move premises, change your Google listing, or add TripAdvisor later, you update the destination in the dashboard. The physical cards never need reprinting.

What you get that plain NFC cards cannot give you

  • AI review drafting so guests are not typing from scratch
  • A private feedback inbox with alerts, so fixable problems reach you the same shift
  • Google and TripAdvisor side by side, not one hardcoded destination
  • Ratings, tags and trends in a dashboard rather than guessing
  • Free branded artwork for posters and receipt strips

Tappi Tech, encoded to you

Every item is encoded to your own review page from inside your dashboard, so a tap always opens your page — never a generic link.

Common questions

Do NFC review cards work on every phone?

Nearly all modern phones read NFC tags. Every Tappi item also carries a QR code, so any phone with a camera can reach the same page.

Are the cards waterproof?

Tappi cards and stickers are wipe-clean and survive a busy service. Stickers work through glass, so they can go on a window or a bill folder.

Is using a review card against Google's rules?

Asking every customer for a review is allowed. What is not allowed is review gating — only inviting happy customers to post publicly. Tappi shows the same Google and TripAdvisor options to every guest regardless of their rating, and adds a private route to the owner alongside them.
